The Review

A big part of 2024 was invested in a project dedicated to the adoption of the FinOps practice in a client organization. I had the opportunity to take the FinOps Framework from the FinOps Foundation and implement it in real life.

Q4 was dedicated to Platform Engineering – learn what is, the relationship with DevOps, why, and how to build an internal developer platform.

Learning & Training

Terraform and Kubernetes were part of projects, learning, and teaching sessions. I was able to improve my skills in both technologies, but mainly in Kubernetes.

Reading

Success! I was able to read 6 books as planned. Next year I should be more ambitious.

Writing

Again! I didn’t write anything.

Community

I was part of the organization team that delivered the conference DevOpsDays Portugal 2024 Edition with great success.

Open-source

I made more commits during 2024, however, I cannot call it an open-source project (or pet project) since it lacks structure.

Research & Development 

I started my exploration around Platform Engineering.

I also spent a good amount of time around CI/CD pipelines. I think this might be my pet project for the next year.
